Acqua di Parma Oud & Spice Review

By Adam Wednesday 14th Jul, 2021

You should know by now that we love Acqua di Parma here at The Dapper Chapper, so naturally we were delighted to review their latest release; Oud & Spice.

The fragrance is the newest addition to the Signatures of Sun Collection which is the Maison’s most premium range. It arrives encased in an Art Deco bottle in black with gold text, wrapped in the minimalist black box that is embossed with the gold Acqua di Parma logo. This bottle makes a very stylish addition to any fragrance collection.

The premium ingredients that allow the scent to last so long are the variety of agarwood oil’s used (the oud part). This time, if you’re interested, it is the resin from a tree native to Laos, the Aquilaria tree. The scent opens with fresher notes and is bergamot dominant.

Then, the more seductive scents start to come to life. Rose, Raspberry and citrus are followed by the woody scents which are what you’d most expect. Think sandalwood, patchouli and pepper.

It’s warm with a spicy heart and with the premium oils used it will last all day.

We’ve reviewed a lot of ADP fragrances and before now if I had to commit to one as fragrance away from the mediterraneo range it would have been Colonia Leather. I’d go as far to say that this is now my favourite Acqua di Parma Eau de parfum.

  •                   Base notes: Agarwood oil, Patchouli, Cisto labdanum
  •                   Middle notes: Cinnamon, Pink pepper, Cloves
  •                   Top notes: Bergamot, Raspberry, Rose
