Diesel Sound of The Brave EDT Review

By Joe Burns Sunday 20th Jun, 2021

Now that everyone’s social lives are beginning to shape up, you may have started to frantically upgrade your wardrobe, realising that the jeans don’t quite fit, that jacket is past it’s best, and those shoes just don’t cut it anymore. Well, perhaps it’s a good time to consider updating your selection of fragrances too, and Diesel can help you with that.

The latest addition to the Brave family from Diesel is – Sound of the Brave – a bold new fragrance that follows in the characteristic footsteps of Only The Brave, Spirit of the Brave, OTB Street, & OTB Tattoo.

So how has the infamous Diesel scent been reinvented this time? Sound of The Brave is said to be inspired by hip-hop, it’s designed to be punchy, masculine and make a statement. Of course we love the bottle, it’s an iconic design we all recognise, and this time around it’s been refreshed with a blue hue from the fragrance inside, visible through clear glass and highlighted by a bold silver Diesel ring logo and cap.

The scent certainly meets the objective – it’s impactful with top notes of juniper spice and lemon essence, it evokes intrigue with heart notes of bison grass and lavandin, and finally the base notes of amber wood and musk provide that masculine reassurance. The powerful mix smells vibrant and energetic to start with, but my favourite thing about this fragrance is how it develops with your own skin and aroma. After 10 minutes or so, the scent took on a somewhat sophisticated and exciting tone. Bear in mind this is an Eau de Toilette though, so it won’t last all day but a couple extra sprays here and there will keep you on top form.

In my opinion this is an everyday fragrance, ideal for the office and equally those after-work drinks later in the day.

So even if you still need to rectify that wardrobe situation, at least Diesel is on hand with Sound of The Brave to help you smell great.
