Dolce & Gabbana The One Grey Review

By Matt Denney Thursday 8th Nov, 2018

Dolce & Gabbana has followed up it’s highly popular 2008 original The One, with this year’s release of The One Grey.

The bottle itself has shifted to a cooler grey, with a steel cap and matte silver box to give it a bold, sleek appearance that wouldn’t look out of place in any Dapper Chapper’s collection.

While the fragrance itself isn’t unique, maintaining the same warm tobacco and sensual Ambery notes in the base that the original possessed, a spray of The One Grey gets fresher the longer it stays on your skin, giving it an extended lifespan, ideal for those long spring and summer days.

The heart period of this three phase fragrance is the most powerful, meeting the sweet citrus notes of the top with a heavier, earthy vetiver. More aromatic and woody than the sweeter, spicier original.

Three phase fragrance:

TOP: Cardamom opening, combined with bitter citrus notes of grapefruit

HEART: Provencal lavandin and vetiver.

BASE: The base reveals The One for Men’s signature sensuality with warm tobacco and elegant grey woods.

All in all, this latest creation from Dolce & Gabbana provides a very pleasant and refined fragrance that is ready to work straight away.

Dolce & Gabbana The One Grey is £42 for 30ml or £70 for 100ml
