REWN Illustration Exhibition Launches at Ruffains Marylebone

By Rashpal Amrit Thursday 9th Jun, 2016

Ruffains Marylebone will be hosting a collection of works from established illustrator Robin Mackney, aka REWM. The collection North & South is partially commissioned by Ruffains, taking inspiration from the Barbershops hometown (Edinburgh) and London. Other illustrations from REWM private collection are also displayed.

REWN takes his inspiration from the history that shapes cities and is passionate about the landscapes buildings create. His drawings are freehand giving an organic feel to straight structures.

To celebrate the launch Ruffains hosted am opening party, as ever Dapper Chapper was there with bloggers and design journalists. Bulleit Frontier provided the drinks for the evening: Bulleit Rye & Karma Cola and Bulleit Bourbon with Ginger Ale.

Andrew Cannon, Co-founder and MD of Ruffians, said “Robin’s illustrations work really beautifully in our Marylebone shop and evoke a smart, sophisticated side to Ruffians. We see this somewhat as a coming of age for Ruffians, to celebrate the launch of our newest outlet. We are interested in all forms of craft and talent, and being able to host such intricate drawings that we’ve commissioned ourselves is a great way to open our doors to the local community, and to one interested in the visual arts”.

If you would like to view REWN’s collection North & South, drop in or book and appointment at Ruffains Marylebone.
