Bloom – The Summer Gin

By Adam Thursday 29th May, 2014

We like to think of ourselves as the eternal optimist. With that in mind, as we creep into June, we are now preparing for the blazing sunshine that is just around the corner.

We’ve been on the hunt for drinks that need to be at the front of your bar for the imminent arrival of a glorious summer & we’ve found a cracker in Bloom Gin.

The Name Bloom Gin is a floral London Dry Gin, inspired by Master Distiller Joanne Moore’s English country garden. She chose chamomile and honeysuckle and added the citrus fruit pomelo to make up the three key botanicals for Bloom – each one contributing to the delicate gin drinking experience.

Distilled at the world-renowned distillery in Cheshire, G&J Distillers, where they have been producing premium gin since 1761, it has has won many industry awards for its superior taste and quality. The Gin is distilled in a traditional copper pot still, overseen by Master Distiller Joanne, and uses demineralised fresh spring water to reduce the spirit to a final bottling of 40% ABV. Tasting Notes Appearance: Clear and bright.

Nose: A light floral gin, with traditional perfume and earthy aromas; the predominant notes are chamomile, pomelo and honeysuckle.

Taste: Slightly sweet with a very smooth mouth feel and a citrus finish.
