Cut Down Coffee & Drink Matcha

Matcha has been an integral part of Japanese culture for the past 900 years but feels like it’s only fairly recently that’s it’s become the latest must-have fitness and wellbeing product and now is popping up everywhere.

However before you write this off as just another fad, we think you should give this super-power tea a chance. Not only are the health benefits pretty extensive, they are scientifically proven and we think it tastes rather good too.

Teapigs Premium Matcha comes from the Nishio Region in Japan where the tea leaves are grown under cover to produce amino acids and chlorophyll. After being dried and slowly ground by granite into a powder it is sealed immediately to lock in all the nutrients.

Matcha is a super concentrated green tea powder which is packed full of antioxidants and nutrients. One cup is equivalent to around 10 cups of regular green tea and a third of the amount in a cup of brewed coffee.

Although it is said to aid weight loss and brain power amongst many other things, in our opinion the biggest benefit of drinking this green superhero is that it gives you a slow release of energy for 4 to 6 hours, so you avoid the slump you can get after drinking coffee.

This is one ‘fad’ that we will most certainly be sticking with.
