Oris: A Mo’ment in Time

By Alex Noble Friday 19th Oct, 2018

We’re approaching the latter stages of October, which means lots of chappers will be prepping themselves for a month of eccentric facial hair styling in support of Movember, the world’s leading men’s health charity.

One of our favourite watch brands, Oris, are partnering with The Movember Foundation, in order bring positive change to the lives of men. They have set a goal of raising £75,000 for the charity by selling a unique Movember edition watch.. The Swiss brand worked with Movember in 2017, as part of an initiative to act in a more socially, economically and ecologically responsible way, and raised a fantastic £45,000 for the charity. This year, their goal is to more than double that figure.

‘As men, we don’t talk about these issues often enough – and often not before it’s too late. Oris is passionate about bringing change for the better and to improving men’s lives, and we’re delighted to be supporting the inspiring mission of The Movember Foundation.’

The Oris Movember Crew

Dr Johannes Wimmer, nomad barber Miguel Gutierrez and forester Scott Poynton have been invited by Oris to be the international faces of the crew, with each of them motivated by the belief that things can and should be done better with regards to men’s health and wellbeing. Together, their ambition is to help Oris raise awareness of the men’s health crisis we face today via YouTube and their social channels, and to encourage people all over the world to join in fundraising activities.

The watch is a special editions of the iconic Oris Big Crown Pointer Date, with the brown leather strap featuring two ‘Mo’ stamps.
