How to Make The Perfect Negroni

Picture this; the sun is shining, the temperature is pleasant without being too much, you’re in a lovely linen suit, whilst on the decking of a beautiful rooftop bar; the waiter asks for your order…

Spring is (thankfully) just around the corner and let’s be serious, nobody can wait. This bloody cold weather is physically and mentally draining.

When the warmer weather and sun arrive, everyone goes crazy for it, and one of the first thoughts is alcohol – but chaps, don’t just rush to the first pub you see and down a pint of lager. Make the most of the experience and indulge in a drink that’s worthy of the highly anticipated weather. Allow your choice of drinks to shift with the seasons, so when the days get lighter, so should your drinks…

So, back to that drinks order…

Margaritas and Mojitos are the usual warm-weather go-to but let’s take a more Mediterranean route and talk about the Negroni.

  • 1 oz. London dry gin
  • 1 oz. Campari
  • 1 oz. vermouth rosso
  • cocktail glass

How to make…

. Add the ingredients together in a cocktail shaker.

. Shake well with cracked ice.

. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

. Garnish with a twist of orange peel.

This guy is perfect as a relaxing tipple before a summer’s evening of debauchery and giggle commences…the perfect aperitivo. With the perfect balance of sweet, bitter and herbal, these is a drink that invigorates your senses.
