We’d like to introduce you to the Baumard Carte Turquoise Cremant de Loire NV – also known as the ‘Champagne of the Loire’. A delicious and refreshing sparkler from the heart of France, this Crémant is made in the same historic way as Champagne – the méthode traditionelle – and from a blend of Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc grapes.

Ideal for when you want to show a little knowledge of French sparkling wine beyond picking up a traditional bottle of Champagne, or a little more imagination than Prosecco, this is an ideal wine for those upcoming summer months of balmy evenings sitting out with friends. The light 12.5% volume means that the minerality comes through and it goes down very smoothly.

Expect to taste light effervescence on your tongue due to the fine bubbles, and dry, fresh fruit flavours like crisp apple, pear, quince, lemon and a hint of flowery notes. For dinner parties it goes brilliantly with seafood and fresh fish as well as cheeses and charcuterie.

This is a delicious wine that has been produced at the Domanie des Baurmard since 1957, and each grape is hand picked. Only the first press of the grapes are used to minimise exposure to the skin and maintain that freshness you’ll taste to the last drop.
