Cheers to London Beer Week

By Phil Hawkins Friday 26th Feb, 2016

Some things deserve a day to celebrate whereas others get longer, and we agree that when it comes to beer, seven days is the perfect amount of time to truly appreciate the amber nectar and the joy it brings. That’s where London Beer Week comes in. Currently in full swing and running until Sunday 28th February, there’s still time for you to get involved and enjoy the best beers London has to offer.

The Old Truman Brewery, Shoreditch, forms the beer-soaked central hub for the week, where attendees can find out everything they need to know about the event, and sample the wide array of pop-up bars in the area, curated to showcase the best of the festival and the beers at the heart of it.

To be part of London Beer Week is simple. A £10 wristband offers you a key to the city and over 100 of the best watering holes the capital has to offer.  The wristband gets you access to a whole host of self guided Beer Tours with discounted booze at every stop. Also, Dapper Chapper favourite Fullers Brewery is putting its own twist on the Beer Tours, showcasing a beer flight in each of their participating venues – three beers for £3, including two brand new brews.

In addition to the tours and pop ups, there’s a full schedule of ticketed events to get involved in, with a stellar line up of varied events aimed at everyone. The event schedule is packed full through to Sunday with a highlights including a contemporary Italian dining experience taking place at the Union Street Cafe to celebrate the House of Peroni.

So if you’re still stuck for what to do this weekend, get yourself down to London Beer Week, raise a glass and start sinking some suds. For more information on London Beer Week visit the website
