Feast your eyes on this

With so many of the trendy pop ups, food festivals and gigs taking place in the hipster end of town, it’s refreshing to be invited to an event out West. Not only because that’s where we’re based but also because when it comes to good food and impeccable style, we’re not afraid to say West is best.

Organisers of FEAST, which made its name in Islington and Brick Lane has now unleashed ‘Little Feast’ a sister event in Shepherd’s Bush Market, showcasing some of the best food London has to offer.

The century-old street market, which is normally not open to the public, kicked off last week and will run until mid-August opening on Thursday and Friday evenings from 5pm and all day on Saturdays and Sundays.

We were there for the opening and got to enjoy a selection of the wide variety of cuisine on offer, including grilled fish by Green Goat, Vietnamese baguettes by Nha Trang kitchen, burgers by Cheeky Burger, Guasaca’s venulezean arepas and much more.

Accompanying the impressive array of food on offer is converted fish market, The Arch, which serves as an all day deli kitchen and most importantly, a bar. We happily supped on the IPA as we tucked into our grub, but for those more adventurous there’s plenty of cocktails to help cool you down.

The whole area has been decked out with plants and long communal tables, making it an ideal meeting ground or a space just to chill out in the evening sun after a hard day at work. There’s also sunken sofas under trees and regular DJs helping you while the night away in a garden oasis.

Charlie Gardiner, director of FEAST, told us: “FEAST is all about dining done differently – we want to offer visitors the chance to eat some of the best food London has to offer in exciting and different environments whilst having a good time.

So, while being an East London hipster may be good for a while, we think it’s about time you give West a try. It might be the tastiest and best decision you ever make.

Little Feast will run from 5pm Thursdays and Fridays and 11am on Saturdays and Sundays until 11pm each evening (9pm on Sundays). The Arch will serve coffees and food from 7.30am – 5pm Tuesday to Friday. Entrance is free.
