Mayfair pub opens after charming refurbishment: The Chesterfield Arms

By Jack Dignum Friday 3rd Sep, 2021

Following its tasteful refurbishment, The Chesterfield Arms boasts a new lease of life and is once again open as a beautifully detailed tavern in the heart of Shepherd Market, Mayfair. Renewed interior combines with the best of British cuisine and hospitality, with a curated selection of draughts and wines that are full of personality.

Steeped in history, the building has been a pub since 1737. It was originally known as The Chesterfield Arms until 1938 when it was renamed the Shepherd’s Tavern. Now under ownership of the Metropolitan Pub Company, the pub has returned to its roots and reinstated its former name, The Chesterfield Arms.

From the stunning, brand-new parquet flooring in the bar, to the rich mahogany tones and luxurious wooden features upstairs, the pub’s facelift now oozes a modern twist on a classic pub style. Furthermore, the dining room has been stylishly renovated with spice and bottle green leathers, a new plank timber floor and brand-new light fittings to enhance the atmosphere.

The Head Chef and team will be bringing fresh seasonal dishes and pub classics to the menu that perfectly pair with a brand-new curated wine list for guests to enjoy in the dining area; retaining its charm, expect refreshed oak panelling and the addition of a new service bar and wine fridge to provide an impressive stock of vino.
