Three of the best alternative Brunches in London

Bored of bog-standard brunch? Begging for a better breakfast? Enough with the puns – here are a few of our favourite alternative spots for brunch with a difference in London.

Spice Market at the W Hotel

Sister restaurant to the infamous New York Meatpacking district spot, Spice Market has a fabulous set brunch of with 4 courses with a twist for only £19. Feast on Pork Belly Eggs Benedict with Yuzu Hollandaise sauce, Home Made Granola with Mango Parfait Lemongrass Yoghurt, and a delicious Kaya Brioche Toast with Soft Boiled Egg. So if you’re in the Leicester Square area, pop in for a New York style brunch with a difference.

Dishoom

Arguably Dishoom’s most famous dish is the one on the brunch menu – the Bacon Naan Roll. Freshly baked-to-order Naan smothered in cream cheese, chilli tomato jam and herbs and then stuffed with The Ginger Pig’s dry-cured smoky streaked bacon. If that’s not your bag (and if not, what is wrong with you?) how about a spot of Kejriwal? Two fried eggs on chilli cheese toast. Or even the Keema Per Eedu, known as the Perdi Power Breakfast, you’ll get Spiced chicken keema studded with chicken liver and topped with silky-yolked fried eggs and sali crisp-chips and a side of pau. Pow, indeed.

Nopi

An offshoot of the amazing house of Ottolenghi, Nopi’s mneu diverts slightly from the original giving it an identity all of its own. Bruch explorers are treated to the delicious Shakshuka, comprising of a dish of Smoked Labneh nestling in a rich Piquante Tomato Sauce with Braised Eggs. Or how about their Black Rice, Coconut Milk and Banana Mango treat for something a little sweeter? But for the meat lovers among you it has to be the Beef Brisket Hash with crunchy Gremolata topped with a runny Fried Egg.

And there you have it – totally spoilt for an alternative choice.
