Things to do In London This Week: St James’s Market

By Adam Wednesday 28th Jun, 2017

Wander through one of the most upmarket areas of London this July and you might stumble upon a new gem about to be unveiled, in the form of St James’s Market. But why chance it when we’re inviting you to their exclusive opening party? The paved path which once played host to the kind of produce only the most affluent of aristocratic Londoners could afford is now home to some of the most eclectic and innovative eateries this side of Shoreditch. What’s more, they have a host of lifestyle and fashion brands joining them under eaves, making it a one stop shop for all your needs.

Sound like something that’s up your proverbial alley?

Why not get a taste of everything they have to offer during the official opening parties spanning five days from the 5th-9th July, a host of festivities every single day to showcase the best of the new marketplace and its unique new style. Daily musical events from Classical Pop Ups set the soundtrack to your exploration, and avail of exclusive opening offers and competitions from brands like Jigsaw Emporium, Aspinal of London, Paul & Shark and cycling superbrand Assos.

Pop up bars and restaurants will curate the taste of the week, with a new brand hosting each day. Starting with West African restaurant Ikoyi, journey through Japan with Anzu on Tuesday, sail along with Venetia on Wednesday before a warm welcome from Nordic brasserie Aquavit and finally the eclectic Duck & Waffle on Sunday. Throughout the week you can also sample from Ole & Steen café and the Urban Tea Rooms, with special guest performances from Coro, the Blue Topaz String Quartet and more.
