British Fashion Council and River Island present Fashion Film

By Rashpal Amrit Tuesday 24th Jan, 2017

Following the RI Design forum and Torne de Transmission collection launch, The British Fashion Council and River Island hosted Fashion Film at The BFC Show Space as part of London Fashion Week Men’s.

The following 3 designers films were shown:

River Island Design Forum x Tourne de Transmission
“The film concept started with the collection TDT created for River Island, a patchwork of fabrics juxtaposed with oversized shapes and confident lines; ideas that remind me of the intricate details inherent in nature, also, the dramatic contrasts that can be found everywhere you look at the natural landscape. We wanted to capture the beauty of the natural environment as well as draw the eye to intricate details inherent in the design, tonal value and construction”.

Agi & Sam x The Woolmark Company
“The film follows two protagonists’ separate paths through the streets of London, weaving through communities where rising tensions have been displaced by uniformity, shared environments, and togetherness. A juxtaposition of the manufacture of clothing – knitting and weaving bring together fibres and structures to create a new community of garments for Autumn/Winter 2017”.

Alan Crocetti
“LUCKY STAR is about the connection and disconnection with our inner and outer space, about worlds that unavoidably are pulled together or dragged apart. The collection ties a stronger bond between ALANCROCETTI and the diamond, the figurative Lucky Star”.
