The Chukka Style Chameleon

Our go-to footwear favourite, G.H Bass, has released a must-have option for the summer months and beyond with the Scholar Stanford Chukka, the versatile brother of the good old Desert Boot.

The Chukka, which is usually presented in either soft suede or calfskin, first came to style prominence in the UK in the 1940’s and more recognisably in the 60’s thanks to the cross over with music and in particular the MOD movement, which captured British fashion with the straight, distinctive lines of Italian tailoring – history lesson over.

The Scholar Stanford is presented in four separate Papaya Oscura suede colour-ways, ranging from Black, mid-brown, dark grey and our favourite, the mid-grey. Complete with vulcanised soul for added comfort, the Scholar Standford, for us here at Dapper Chapper, is a bit of a style chameleon.

Effortless and easy to wear with anything from a very well-tailored suit, through to dark denim and even with shorts – sock or no sock options open –  the Scholar Standford is the shoe that allows the wearer to dress from the feet upwards (which is always quite a good style tip).
