The Spring Summer 2017 collection for Private White V.C. was once again held in their flagship store on Duke St, London. The theme behind this season’s showcase is the lifestyle of the contemporary summer traveller. The well-dressed models at the presentation certainly looked like those mysteriously chic types that you have fleeting glances of at international departure lounges.
The main emphasis on the collection was casual tailoring using lightweight fabrics, all wrapped up in a palette of earthy hues, which give a clean, neutral aesthetic. Private White’s Worksuit, synonymous with the brand, makes an appearance but given a contemporary tweak, as well as chino trousers and Lock & Co. hat’s to make sure there is protection from the unpredictable weather, but still leave a stylish finish. Outerwear, suiting, shorts and an extensive range of shirting makes up the rest of this seasons range.
One point of interest, which is not common practice during many of the LCM presentations, was the addition of a female model dressed in entirely in menswear. This was a nice touch from Private White V.C. and certainly stuck with us during the rest of LCM. And of course, we cannot sign off without giving yet more appreciation to Private White’s mascot and all round hero, Brutus the bulldog. He’s such a beautiful chap that he even upstaged a certain Mr Gandy.
