LFWM: Kent & Curwen AW17

By Gary Dennis Monday 9th Jan, 2017

Kent & Curwen continued to proudly showcase British heritage in their AW17 collection on Day 3 of LFWM at the Bargehouse, Oxo Tower Wharf.

The collection, headed up by creative director, Daniel Kearns, and his business partner / national treasure, David Beckham, blends both character and style and is aimed towards men of all backgrounds. Kearns describes the collection perfectly, “It is that sense of modern life blended with a shared history that defines Kent & Curwen”.

Outerwear, such as Kent & Curwen’s olive green Great Coat, using the same wool that was worn by WW1 officers really encompassed the collection. Army and country jackets which are styled from aged cottons and paired with pleated peg trousers in crushed cotton-linen also really stood out.

Continuing the heritage theme and Kent & Curwen’s sporting pedigree, there was a smattering of The Three Lions and English Rose proudly placed on rugby shirts as well as signature jackets.

What with the added stardust of Mr Beckham, who looked very sharp in the Great Coat, Kent & Curwen AW17 truly was one of the most talked about shows of LFWM.
