St James’s London Fashion Week Men’s Open-Air Catwalk

By Adam Friday 8th Jun, 2018

This weekend, the capital once again plays host to the ever-growing London Fashion Week Men’s, with a host of brands and designers demonstrating their innovation and creative ability in the form of exuberant catwalk shows and aesthetically pleasing (for the most part) exhibitions.

One of my favourite areas in London, Jermyn Street at the heart of St James, will be transformed into an open-air catwalk this weekend and it’s all very exciting. This show is a definitive fixture on the fashion week calendar as it promotes a number of Jermyn Street brands in a see-now-buy-now capacity, meaning if you identify any SS18 pieces you like, then get to the front of the queue and purchase it after the show.

So, why St James?

“St James’s is a modern environment that continues to evolve and grow – an area of creativity and craftsmanship unrivalled anywhere in the world. The catwalk event showcases perfectly the mix of modernity and tradition found in St James’s, with its combination of heritage brands complemented by newly arrived contemporary fashion labels taking to the runway.”

– Dylan Jones OBE, Chairman of London Fashion Week Men’s and Editor of British GQ

750 tickets are made available to the public for this prestigious and highly-sought after event and it poses a fantastic opportunity for you to capture the oragnised chaos of LFWM and rub shoulders with some of the biggest names and influencers within the world of men’s fashion. What’s more, with this specific show, you’re given the opportunity to witness the creativity and innovation of a number of world-leading brands – a rather valuable ticket I think you’ll agree.

Brands such as Paul & Shark, Grenson, Sunspel and Aspinal of London as well as heritage names Harvie & Hudson, John Smedley, Lock & Co and Aquascutum, will all feature in the show, under the watchful and hugely talented eye, of leading London stylish and show curator, Grace Gilfeather.

“I’ll be styling up some more key looks from all our favourite shops, incorporating modern trends and celebrating the more traditional aesthetics of this one of a kind part of London.”

– Grace Gilfeather

The whole of Jermyn Street is getting behind this epic show and all the stores will be open for the public to peruse their collections and enjoy a variety of exclusive offers and special activities (and yes, many of these do include alcohol). It should be a wonderful occasion as ever…roll on the weekend.
