Thomas Pink delight at London Collections: Men

By Adam Wednesday 8th Jan, 2014

The fourth instalment of London Collections: Men saw more than 200 guests descend on the Institute of Contemporary Art for Thomas Pink’s inaugural static presentation of their Autumn/Winter 2014 collection.

The brand presented an urban scaffold installation featuring 20 male models showcasing the A/W14 range including rough hewn British wools and tweeds mingled with smooth poplins and superfine shirting fabric, contributing to the strong layering theme.

London artists Bompas&Parr were also commissioned to create an interactive showpiece especially for the evening which focussed on the 18th Century ban on selling gin. The duo created their very own take on the ‘puss and mew machine’ which was a contraption permitted to the anonymous dispensing of the tipple, by pouring guests pink gin from a specially designed machine.
