Luca Faloni – Made in Italy

By Adam Tuesday 28th Jun, 2022
Having just returned from the shows for the first time in more than 2 years, it feels as though things have returned to a semblance of normality. It is apparent, at the moment, that shows like Pitti Uomo have altered in terms of size and that some of the brands usually in attendance have disappeared. Hopefully that will start to change as we progress through the months.
One thing that hasn’t changed is the amazing style on show at every turn you make within the historic Fortezza da Basso venue and of course around the city of Florence at that time too. Effortless in the heat, some people and brands edgier than others, but on the whole a really great place to take the time to ‘style’ watch.
As ever, as we enter into these warmer months, which looked like they would never arriver for a while, we start to look at old and new brand favourites to check out what the latest twist on a classic or staple piece might be and as ever with Italian menswear favourite Luca Faloni we not left disappointed.
Recent additions to the fold include a re-design of the pique polo shirt, a garment available in white, navy, pale blue and peach, as well as the lightweight, white cotton chino. Both of which are versatile enough to transition wearers from day into the night.
Luca Faloni, which specialises in Made In Italy garments from trusted artisans, is synonymous with menswear that transcends the seasons. The label has also, this year seen additional stores opened in Munich and Milan with the next set for Miami.
Specialists in finely crafted shirting, knitwear and trousers across fabrics including linen, cotton,  brushed cotton, silk-cotton and cashmere, Luca Faloni also presents a beautiful capsule of accessories ranging from linen caps, through to belts and scarves.
For this summer, the Italian staple is a go-to for that holiday look, or for equally for meeting friends for drinks in the city or further afield. Match the Portofino linen shirt with the lightweight chino, or alternatively the silk-cotton t-shirt or polo with the sophisticated fit of the linen or more casual cotton shorts.
Prices range from £110-£160. Visit https://lucafaloni.com
