Walker slater – Summer Linens
We have pretty much missed circa three seasonal collections due to obvious reasons, however, as we can now we can start to see a light at the end of the tunnel, we look towards those stylistic ways of keeping ourselves looking refined in the warmer weather.
With the sun daring to creep through every now and again during a very wet May, the seasonal change heralds a shift in our wardrobe needs, where we look for our summer styles, those lighter layers and of course breathable fabrics including the ever-popular linen.
One of our favourite go-tos for any dilemma of this sort is contemporary Scottish brand Walker Slater, which now also boasts the menswear shop in Great Queens Street, Covent Garden, which opened just prior to the initial pandemic last year.
Our pick of the amazing linen offer from Walker Slater comes in the shape of the Edward and Edmond – jackets that can both be paired with Edward waistcoats and trousers of the same name for a complete styled look, or alternatively as separates.
Firstly, the Edward jacket…
It provides a beautifully fitted, single-breasted style with two-button fastening and double vent, this on a textured fabric consisting of neutral tones and heavier flecks of cream and accents of rust and dark brown – perfect choice to pair down or up depending on the occasion and where Walker Slater’s flexibility is so key.
The Edmond, carries the same cut and detailing as the Edward but boasts a half-lining which allows less restriction, easy movement and comfortable stylish option when in the sun. If a smoother, classic finish is more to your tastes then perhaps the Edmond is right for you. Nothing looks better to us here at DC than the Cognac colour-way set against a crisp white shirt.
However you choose to dress-up or down but with that need for a tailored and refined presentation due to the occasion, then Walker Slater is primed for you. Quality garments with an affordable price tag.
