Gielly Green Boutique Salon, Ten Trinity Square
When the time comes to get a hair cut, beard trim, or both, gents usually head to their familiar and trusty barber for a friendly chinwag and a fresh look. This usually results in you leave feeling killer (If it doesn’t then what are you doing?), knowing your mane has been tamed and you’re looking sleek.
However, I challenge you to buck the trend and go somewhere new and different the next time you’re due an appointment with the scissors.
How about a salon?
Now, due to many a stereotype, salons seem to have been ousted from the minds of males, with many chappers seeing them as female-only venues. Think again.
Gielly Green have created an immensely luxurious salon that caters for both guys and gals – it’s a haven for those who want to be groomed in style and capture an all encompassing experience.
Unlike a lot of salons out there, which predominantly seek to fit guys in as and when due to an underwhelming demand, Gielly Green have two dedicated barber chairs (wonderful for the back may I add), which provide a bright and independent section where chappers can be consulted by their team of experts, led by the most gentlemanly of gentleman, Carmelo Guastella – this guy knows his sh*t!
Sitting in that chair, I experienced a conversation with Carmelo whereby I knew he was seeking the best way to cut my hair for me – no false promises of perfectly recreating a look I’d seen from instagram – he was honest and open with what he believed would suit me and the realism was refreshing. As a result, I left leaving with a cut and beard I was extremely happy with, and which suited me!
Allow me to end by saying that often my motto with most hair and beauty destinations is, ‘Don’t knock it til you’ve tried it,’ but for Gielly Green’s new venture within the stunning Four Seasons Hotel in Ten Trinity Square (sorry did I forget to mention that before?), I say, ‘Try It!.’
