The Greenwich Peninsula: No.3 Upper Riverside
Just over a week ago, I was lucky enough to be invited to Greenwich Peninsula where Knight Dragon were revealing its collection of 126 homes at No.3 Upper Riverside, one of seven neighbourhoods within the Peninsula.
Be serious chaps, as proud Londoners, to live on the Thames is well and truly life goals. Add to that an incredibly modern and stylish apartment, such as the ones found at No.3 Upper Riverside, and you’re in dreamland.
The Greenwich Peninsula
Imagine an area double the size of Soho, uninhabited and craving contemporary neighbourhood vibes. Well, with 15,000 new homes and 13,000 new jobs arising through the creation of 7 diverse neighbourhoods, next to London’s exciting new Design District, Greenwich Peninsula could just be your ticket to paradise.
The phrase Land of Opportunity is uttered far too frequently for my liking, yet this almost-island of architectural opportunity offered a wonderful blueprint on which to innovate and build spectacular urban terrain that represents a new London.
We give you No.3 Upper Riverside by Studio Ashby
The interiors of these stunning apartments are a vision of eminent interior designer, Sophie Ashby, and draw inspiration from the maritime and industrial heritage of the peninsula, alongside ideas of what the future holds for this wonderful location. This combination has successfully delivered a concept that epitomises contemporary and luxury, riverside living.
Sophie was so interesting to listen to and employs a number of pioneering methods to her interior design, including the use of 250-300 independents spanning across everything to furniture designers to upholstery makers.
Home, Sweet Home
The apartments celebrate the diverse natural environment, with Ashby using organic materials (oak doors with visible grains and strong marbling in the bathrooms), as well as a nature-inspired palette (E.g. rich greens and dusty blues), to give the properties a magnificent homely finish and reflect the unique riverside surroundings.
Alongside the beautiful colour schemes and innovative composition, there’s a vital element of comfort (the pairing of comfort and beauty being a factor synonymous with Ashby) meaning you can revel in the apartment’s practicality as well as its artistry.
Features such as effective lightning that creates functional and feel good ambiance, as well as an open plan layout and integrated storage, encouraging practical modern living (think clutter no more) are all features that ensure this place isn’t just for the human eye but also the human lifestyle.
So if you’re on the lookout for a new home, or fancy hopping on the property ladder in an almost unrivaled area of central London, then Chaps I suggest you check out No.3 Upper Riverside – It really is a marvelous location that would only too well fit the lifestyle of a Dapper Chapper.
