Disaronno wears Etro

By Neil Brotherston Wednesday 4th Jan, 2017

As you all know already (we hope), here at The Dapper Chapper we are all about helping you to look stylish and find the best new fashion around on the market.

Now as the ‘barman’ for The Dapper Chapper, I don’t often get asked to contribute on the fashion front – let’s just say we have our own distinct style. However, one area I am more than qualified to contribute on is how to make your own bar look stylish and stand out from the crowd.

It was as if the stars had aligned when I read about the subject of today’s review – Disaronno wears Etro. Yes that’s right, the renowned Italian amaretto liqueur Disaronno, has teamed up with visionary and distinctive Italian fashion brand Etro – and we love the results.

This Christmas, Disaronno will be wearing a very special, trademark Etro Paisley collection outfit, taking inspiration from their Autumn/Winter 2016 season. The bottle is draped in a swirling design made up of vibrant blue, orange and gold hues.

And this particular offering isn’t just about a drink getting some shiny new clothes. Disaronno wears Etro is also promoting social change this Christmas, supporting the charity “Fashion 4 Development” sponsored by the United Nations.  This unique project works to develop the textile trade and fight poverty in Africa and a portion of proceeds from all sales of Disaronno wears Etro will go towards this fantastic initiative.

Now it’s all very well having a shiny new coat, but if what’s beneath it doesn’t live up to expectations then what’s the point. So for those of you that don’t know what Disaronno is, it is a world famous Italian Almond Liqueur.

On the nose it is strong on the marzipan, with a hint of while there is also a clear aroma of toasted almonds. On the palate, when sipped neat, it won’t come as a surprise that a slightly sweet marzipan is the overwhelming taste. Imagine the Amaretti biscuits that you traditionally get with your coffee in authentic Italian cafes – this is a drink form of them.

However, while those who have a particular fondness for almonds will love this neat, it is when it is used in cocktails that this comes into its own. So it would be remiss of me not to recommend one to try this Christmas – The Disaronno Sour.
