Buddha Bar London Review
Buddha bar has restaurants all over the world, with each location being unique in its own right. The reason they’ve done well is because diners don’t just go for a good meal but instead more of a dining experience. So we thought we’d see what the fuss is about!
Stepping from the busy street in London’s Knightsbridge you are met with decadent décor, low lighting which feels very intimate and immediately whisks you away. The live DJs plays a good mix of music and keeps the atmosphere vibrant.
On our visit we had our sights set on one thing and that was Sushi, so we couldn’t look past the Buddha Bar Platter. It contains selection of 12 Nigiri pieces, 3 types of sashimi and 4 pieces of Maki rolls. It is a sight to behold and not only looks delicious but tastes it too. The Sashimi was melt in the mouth but the real highlight was the Volcano Maki Roll.
As we were also keen to try something exclusive to Buddha bar London, we were advised to try the Crispy Scallop Maki which had king crab and scallop tempura, cream cheese and a yuzu kosho sauce. It really was as delightful as it sounds and would come highly recommended by us.
Buddha Bar are known for their innovative cocktails, but as this was a low key mid-week meal we reluctantly refrained and asked the sommelier to recommend some wine and he chose a lovely light and crisp white wine which complimented the fish perfectly.
As for something sweet, the Coconut and Green tea Mochi and Chocolate caramel and salted sesame bar with vanilla ice cream finished off our meal perfectly.
The service here is very attentive without it being over bearing. There always seemed to be someone there when we needed them.
If you are looking for an experience rather than just a quick in and out bite to eat, then you should definitely check out what Buddha Bar London has to offer.
And since they have won Best Restaurant bar at the London Club and Bar Awards for the last 3 years this is also somewhere to go for a drink even if you aren’t eating.
If you’re looking to visit in November it’s worth booking for the venues 4th birthday bash, details below:
