LC:M Tiger of Sweden SS17
Tiger of Sweden looks to 17th century Baroque influences for its latest Spring Summer collection. Inspired by Kungligg Slottet’s transformation from decadent citadel into a temple to Scandinavian restraint, the collection consists of a tapestry of influences; ranging from the ornate to the understated.
The collection is full of contrasts and historical styles that come together in such a contemporary way. Baroque garden-inspired prints cover slick one-and-a-half breasted suits, bombers and windbreakers. Regency-style mourning suits are worn with nylon field jackets and smart poplin shirts. Baroque-print jacquard tunics are teamed with classic two piece suits. Utilitarian zip-up field vests in monochromatic shades come worn over traditional cotton tailoring, while sheer jumpers are teamed with poplin shirts and highshine nylon shirt jackets. All of these contrasts create depth and history.
