Native Youth SS18

We keep hearing it. Affordable Luxury.

But what does it really actually mean?

There are many brands laying claim to these ‘qualities’ and to be honest, here at Dapper Chapper, as open minded as we are, it’s often not something we advocate shouting about.

What we like about a strong everyday-wear brand is that it has a contemporary design at its heart that people can get a flavour for without having to break the bank.

That’s why we dig Native Youth.

An old friend that has matured with age sounds a bit wrong for this young brand, but in essence, it’s very true. Each season, we witness a new twist on design, colour-ways and creativity behind their campaign.

S/S 18 is no exception…

What captures this seasonal offering the best is a stunningly eye-catching brand video that steers clear of convention for such an accessible brand. Contemporary models, contemporary dance and a real fusion of Amazonian flavour mixed with the heartbeat of Havana. It’s vibey, and we like it.

The product itself conjurs that lovely inner-city summer feel. You can imagine being on the streets of the Lower East Side rocking this gear. It has versatility and simple understated style.

Key pieces include the Sinharaja Shacket (you guessed it, shirt/jacket) in pastel pink with matching shorts and the Adriatic baby blue shirt in 100% Lyocell, accompanied by bold print summer bowling shirts in an eclectic range of colours including the Jangala and Olio. In addition, with it being ‘swim season’, the Spring Summer Collection includes a range of stylish swim shorts featuring stripes, plain and floral designs.
