Bvlgari Man Wood Essence

For those of you who reside in a city (I, myself, live in London), you’ll understand that these urban jungles can often become claustrophobic and a little intense. With the non-stop lives that many of us lead, we need a symbiosis between nature and urbanity more than ever. What’s often required is an escape; the opportunity to take a step back from the trials and tribulations of metropolitan life and get some good, old-fashioned greenery and clear space. I.e. Disconnect, in order to reconnect.

#CitizenofNature

The new fragrance from Bvlgari, Man Wood Essence, blends intense woody notes with bright citrus accents, which together create a truly memorable aroma. It’s the perfect new addition to your cologne cabinet this autumn.

This is a scent thats blueprint is built on the awe-inspiring power of nature, yet it also packs a hearty punch, which reflects the dynamism of city life. I guess you could say this fragrance acts as an aromatic bridge between rural serenity and urban chaos.

A few sprays of this Eau de Parfum and it’s possible to be momentarily transported to a place of tranquility and calm,  and has effects similar to that of a sensual evening in the tub after a stressful working day. It provides just enough respite, allowing you to recover and re-energise before swinging back in to the concrete jungle.

The Alchemy

This is a three stage spray, which packs a number of different elements that compliment one another well.

Leaves and Branches: Life Energy

Italian Citrus Zests and Essence of Coriander

Trunk: Inner Strength

Cypress Wood and Haitian Vetiver Essence

Roots: Reconnection

Cedar Wood, Ambergris  Accords, and Benzoin Siam.

The Dapper Chapper Verdict:

This is one of the best scents I’ve tried for quite some time. It provides both a crispness from the citrus bursts and a robust, masculine element, which stems from the Woody foundations of the fragrance. Sticking with the theme of wood and trees, this Eau de Parfum reminds me of an Evergreen tree, as I’d be happy to wear this at many different points of the year. To further the analogy, just like the most motivated dapper chappers who work around the clock 365 days a year, this scent flourishes all year round, making it a wonderful investment.
