L’Occitane Eau Des Baux Eau De Toilette Review
Here at Dapper Chapper, we’re no strangers to new fragrances and over the years have been fortunate enough to enjoy some of the finest aromas around. Experience has also taught us that it’s not always the case that the aroma itself is exactly as described on the bottle. It’s here that L’Occitane Eau Des Baux stands out.
The fragrance, inspired by the legendary 11th century knights of Les Baux, Provence, in southern France, features head notes of red peppercorn and cardomom essential oil blossoming around a warm heart of Provencal cypress and incense.
The promise of ‘undertones of incense that lend a smoky and sensual effect to the fragrance’ is instantly fulfilled on first spray. A wonderful woody, earthy smell that doesn’t overpower, but instead, gently envelopes you at the same time.
It’s long-lasting; one spray on each of the pulse-points and you’re accompanied by this warm, exotic aroma for the rest of the day.
We tested the gifting experience at the new Flagship on Regent Street, where you can have your bottle engraved. This is obviously perfect for gifting, particularly as we enter the Christmas period.
Perfumery Notes:
