Shiro: Neem Face Mask Review
I recently had the pleasure of helping judge the Gentleman’s Journal 2020 Grooming Awards. As with previous years, most of the brands included were staple names of the grooming world but in the Skincare category I was introduced to Neem Face Mask by Shiro which turned out to be the winner in that category (including taking my vote!)
I wouldn’t say I have tried too many different face masks but this was a totally different league to the ones I have.
It’s all about the Neem tree which has long been used for traditional Ayurvedic medicinal use as every part of the tree has highly valuable properties. It is renowned for its anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and immune-stimulating properties and the Neem extract found in the Neem Face Masks is sourced from India.
The luxurious sheet mask is formulated using the essence of the Neem Oil in Serum, to deeply moisturise and condition the skin.
Japanese licorice extract, containing a unique plant acid, nourishes and protects the skin, whilst Kombu extract retains moisture and the Neem works to visibly plump and smooth the complexion, leaving your skin noticeably radiant.
I felt like I came back from a holiday the next day and benefits lasted over a week.
It’s on the higher cost scale but expect something completely different to what you’ve tried.
Something to try if you’re feeling indulgent: £100 for x5 masks, Shiro.
