Shiseido Men Total Revitalizer Cream Review

If, like me, your Japanese is limited, you may not have come across the term ‘kaizen’. It’s a Japanese philosophy of improvement and change for the better, occurring through small shifts and alterations day after day. Overtime it brings about a complete transformation.

Now you may be wondering why that is in any way relevant to a skincare product review. However, it’s the same philosophy that has been adopted by Shisedio when creating this Revitalizer Cream for men.

Applied morning and night after cleansing or shaving, the facial muscle workout claims to leave your skin moisturised, smooth and free from the inflammation and irritation which shaving causes so many of us. Formulated with Marine Protein Complex, it aims to improve the fundamental strength of your skin.

With so many products on the market promising to achieve similar results I was naturally a little sceptical as to whether it would deliver the complete revitalisation it suggested. But after following the helpful ‘reshaping workout routine’ outlined on the packaging, I applied two pearl-sized drops of cream (a little goes a long way) to my face and covered it entirely. Gradually massaging the cream in as instructed, I found it absorbed very effectively, which is always a good start.

After application I can certainly confirm my skin felt smoother and fresher. But remembering the ‘kaizen’ inspired concept, I determined to test the product properly over the period of week before making a more informed assessment.

That week is now up and the twice daily routine has left my face feeling supple and well moisturised, without the stickiness or residue other creams often leave behind. It is certainly a product I would recommend to men of all ages especially those with sensitive skin like myself who struggle to find a cream that works.
