Luca Faloni, the London based Italian menswear brand, has been the pick of the bunch to keep us on our toes. Their luxury, effortless knitwear and specifically cashmere garments have been the perfect ‘go-to’ for the professional holding court over Zoom, as well as relaxing with the weekend supplements.
The sartorial platform offered by the recent pandemic has allowed those of us lucky enough to be working from home the ability to showcase a more relaxed yet sophisticated style.
In the same breath and after what seems like a life-sentence of restrictions, we have all no doubt had spells of falling out of bed and into the office chair, it happens.
Made in Italy and with stores in London, New York and Stockholm, Luca Faloni prides itself on providing the very best in quality with partners that have existed over generations in Northern Italy as well as further south. With a focus on buying better, but buying less, the Faloni mantra is to create garments that transcend the seasons and can stand the test of time – quality over quantity and craft over cool.
We were therefore delighted to see the latest imagery to come from the brand, a beautifully shot mini-campaign from the world famous Harry’s Bar in Venice, showcasing some of the key pieces that have pulled us through the tough times and continue to do so.
Notable for its patrons who frequented the bar, Harry’s is still the place to be seen and the perfect back-drop for this latest Faloni shoot. A regular haunt for world famous artists, writers and painters, Harry’s is rightly dubbed as one of the most iconic bars in Venice and now for its Dry Martini as well as being the home of the Carpaccio and the Bellini – a homage to 15th Century Venetian painter Giovanni Bellini.
Our pick of the bunch – as hard as it is to choose – is the shawl collar cardigan in Dolomiti Grey and the Lava Red pure cashmere polo. Visit www.lucafaloni.com for further information
