Acqua di Parma Colonia Futura Review
When our friends at Acqua di Parma have something to announce our ears always prick up and we’ve just been informed that the Colonie universe is expanding with a new fragrance, Colonia Futura.
It was released exclusively with John Lewis on the 6th August so this really is hot off the press.
The latest addition represents the sustainability manifesto of the historic Italian Maison and is the first Colonia made with 99% natural ingredients.
The unisex scent combines Bergamot from Calabria, lavender and sage. We’d class this as a fresh fragrance with lemon and grapefruit notes with spicy scents including pepper. It ends in woody, earthy tones with a hint of vetiver.
The golden yellow bottle, as you’d expect with Acqua di Parma is simple, stylish and would be perfectly at home on a gentleman’s grooming table.
The collection consists of Eau du Cologne, shower gel and deodorant which is available in a spray or stick version.
The Shampoo and Shower Gel, is light, shiny and transparent in texture and develops a soft creamy foam when it comes into contact with water. The gentle formula, enriched with panthenol and marine micronutrients, leaves the skin pleasantly smooth and fresh and the hair easy to comb. It is available in a 200ml bottle, that comes in recycled and recyclable plastic, like its closure cap.
The Spray Deodorant does not use gas for dispensing, and with its alcohol-based formula is really fresh to use. I prefer sprays to sticks but the Stick Deodorant also has an alcohol-free formula and is suitable for more sensitive skin. Available in a 75ml format.
Here’s the pricing:
- Colonia Futura EDC, £80 for 50ml, £110 for 100ml
- Colonia Futura Hair & Shower Gel, £37
- Colonia Futura Deodorant Stick, £34
- Colonia Futura Deodorant Spray, £36
Acqua di Parma has succeeded in maintaining the traditions of the brand in a dynamic and vibrant transition between past, present and future, in the knowledge that sustainability is the necessary condition for evolution.
