Dapper Chapper was ever present at the second annual Graffigna London Steak Awards, Soho steakhouse MASH was crowned this year’s winner. Held at Dinerama in Shoreditch, we were treated to a variety of steak cuts accompanied by Graffigna’s Argentinian Malbec.

The public narrowed down the choice for a panel of expert judges to just four of the captital’s most well-renowned steak venues; MASH, Hawksmoor, Goodman and Gaucho. The expert judging panel consisting of chef Neil Rankin, editor of Foodism Jon Hawkins, wine blogger Matt Walls and group editor of Casual Dining Magazine Tristan O’Hana. The expert judging panel toured all four finalists, tasting a variety of steaks accompanied by Graffigna’s Argentinian Malbec.

Toni Ingram, Head of Marketing, Wines and Champagnes, Pernod Ricard said, “This is the second year of the Graffigna London Steak Awards and we have a new winner showing the competitiveness of London steak restaurants. It may appear a dream job to be a judge on the awards but our panel had a genuinely tough time deciding on the winner of the top accolade. We’re already looking forward to 2017’s awards and seeing who makes the cut in the ever evolving category.”

Maurice Duart, General Manager at MASH said, “We are so happy (and surprised!) to have received this award – we were up against some stiff competition which just shows how great the steak scene is in London. It was a pleasure meeting all the judges and we can’t wait to proudly show off our award.”

Graffigna Centenario Malbec is on sale in Sainsbury’s for £9.99
